Bettembourg

Bettemburg ( Luxembourgish Beetebuerg, French Bettembourg ) is a municipality in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in the canton Esch -sur-Alzette. The place is a railway junction with yard.

Geography

In Bettemburg - Hüncheringen the Mierbech flows in the Alzette, after passing through the village.

Attractions

The site is dominated by the neo-Romanesque Deanery Church of the Assumption, built from 1887 to 1889. In Abweiler you will find the Chapel of St. Willibrord in the year 1777.

The Parish Church of St. Joseph in the district Hüncheringen was built around 1902. However, historical and art-historically significant religious buildings of the community are the affiliated churches of St. Andrew in Noertzingen ( late Gothic choir, 15th century. , Ship baroque, 1758) and St. Lambertus and Blasius in Fenningen ( late Gothic choir, baroque nave ).

In Bettemburg are located next to Castle Park and the grounds of the Parc Jacquinot Merveilleux, the only fairy tales and theme park of the Grand Duchy, which is particularly attractive for day trips and for families with children.
