Bezerra da Silva

José Bezerra da Silva ( born March 9, 1927 in Recife, State of Pernambuco; † January 17, 2005 in Rio de Janeiro) was a Brazilian songwriter.

Da Silva is considered to be a protagonist and a pioneer of the so-called Brazilian Sambandido, a composition of Samba and bandido what can be described best with the Gangsta Rap. In these sung already in the 1960s plays he often sat apart with violence and drugs.

Works

1969 came out the first single plate. In 1975 the first album " O Rei do Coco". Over time, he brought 27 more albums out such as " Produto do Morro ", " Violência Gera Violência " (violence begets violence ) and " Eu Não Sou Santo " (I'm not a saint ). In 1995, he parodied, along with his friends Samba Moreira da Silva and DICRO the Three Tenors with the CD "Os Três Malandros - In Concert ".

Film
