Bhatoora

Bhatura (Hindi: भटूरा, Bhatura ) is a fried Indian flat bread which inflates during frying and assumes a balloon-like shape. The dough is typically made of wheat flour, semolina, salt, sugar, yogurt and yeast, and has to rest for a few hours before processing. Bhatura is often served in Indian restaurants as a side dish.

A variant is the kulcha, which is baked or cooked on a flat pan and can be garnished with coriander leaves. It is made from the same dough.

More Indian flatbreads are Chapati, Nan, Puri and spicy Papadam.
