The beaver is a 8.1 km long, orographic left or southern tributary of the Möhne in Arnsberg Forest Nature Park, North Rhine -Westphalia ( Germany ).

Course

The Beavers rises in the eastern part of the Arnsberg Forest, about 1.4 kilometers north of Brilon- Scharfenberg. Your source is located south of the Little Mountain Drive at about 428 m above sea level. NN. From here the river flows in a north- westerly winds by the Arnsberg Forest. After her water has flowed through the small beaver pond, the beaver opens in Ruethen to around 292 m above sea level. NN in the Ruhr inflow Möhne.

Hydrology and catchment area

The Beavers overcome on their 8.1 km long road a height difference of 137 m, corresponding to an average bed slope of 16.9 ‰. It drains a 10.9 km ² large catchment area over the Mohne, Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea.
