Big Boss Man Blue is a song of 1960 by Luther Dixon, the house songwriter of Vee -Jay and Al Smith, his producer, was written for Jimmy Reed. In 1961 the song as a single, 1960, he was released on the LP Found Love. Together with Bright Lights, Big City, the song was added to the list of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 500 songs that shaped rock and roll. In 1990 he was also in the Blues Hall of Fame Blues Foundation aufgenommen.In the original version can be heard as a background singer Jimmy Reed's woman mom Reed.
