Bill Drayton

Bill Drayton ( William Drayton )) ( * 1943 in New York City is a socially oriented entrepreneurs ( social entrepreneur ).

Life

Drayton attended Phillips Academy. He studied at Harvard University (BA 1965). Subsequently, he studied economics at Balliol College, Oxford University (MA 1967) and Law at the Yale Law School ( JD 1970).

He worked from 1970 to just under ten years for McKinsey & Company. He subsequently moved to the National Environment Agency Environmental Protection Agency ( EPA). He took a visiting professor at Harvard University and Stanford University. Drayton is the founder and current CEO of Ashoka, a non- profit organization which has set itself the goal of finding the world socially oriented entrepreneurs and promote. He is also Chairman of the organizations Community Greens and Get America Working!.

Awards

2005 Drayton 25 Best Leaders was of U.S. News & World Report to one of America's elected. 2011 he was awarded the Prince of Asturias Award in the category of International Cooperation.
