Bill Gaither (blues musician)

William Arthur "Bill" Gaither ( also called Little Bill and Leroy's Buddy, * April 21, 1910 in Belmont, Kentucky, † October 30, 1970 in Indianapolis ) was an American blues guitarist and singer.

Bill Gaither played between November 1935 and December 1941 a Blue plates, especially in Chicago. He was one of Leroy Carr's friends, of which his nickname " Leroy's Buddy" derives. With him he played in 1940 several disks for example the title Life of Leroy Carr. He was accompanied, among others, the pianist Honey Hill and Josh Altheimer.
