Bill Gunn (writer)

Bill Gunn ( born July 15, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, † April 5, 1989 in Nyack, New York ) was an American actor, director and writer.

Life

The Gunn 1973 turned horror film Ganja & Hess was chosen as one of the ten best American films of the decade at the International Film Festival in Cannes. Gunn also wrote the script and played the role of George with itself.

His drama Johnnas won an Emmy in 1972. He is a native of Philadelphia and wrote more than 29 plays in his lifetime. Gunn has also written two novels and wrote several produced screenplays.
