Bill Hoskyns

Henry William Furse "Bill" Hoskyns ( born March 19, 1931 in London, † August 4, 2013 in North Perrott, Somerset ) was a British fencer and world champion.

He participated in six Olympic Games from 1956 to 1976 as a result in part, and stood in both the epee, the foil and the saber.

Achievements

Bill Hoskyns occupied at the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 with the epee team to fourth place. In 1958 he was in Philadelphia with his sword individual world champion. At the Olympic Games in Rome Hoskyns won silver with the epee team and finished third in foil - Single seventh. At the Olympic Games in Tokyo Hoskyns won silver in the individual epee. 1965 Hoskyns won at the World Championships in Paris silver in epee individual.
