Billy Bonds

William Arthur "Billy" Bonds MBE ( born September 17, 1946 in Woolwich, London) is an English football player and coach, who is often associated with West Ham United and with 793 official matches is a record holder of the club to this day.

In 1967 he moved from Charlton Athletic to West Ham United and stayed there more than 20 years, scored in his 663 league games for the club ( which are also a club record ) 48 goals. After the departure of Bobby Moore, he was appointed as the new captain, became a local hero and is the only West Ham captain, who could win the FA Cup twice.

1990 after he had given up playing, he was coach of the hammer. This office he held for four years before him Harry Redknapp should inherit. He was inducted in 1988 in the Order of the British Empire.
