Binic

Binic ( Breton: Binig ) is a commune with 3735 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Côtes- d'Armor in the Brittany region. She is a member of the Local Government Association Communauté de communes du Sud Goélo.

Binic is on the Bay Côte du Goélo, a side bay of Baie de Saint- Brieuc on the river Ic. In addition Binic has a marina which can only be used at high tide. The number of nearly 3500 inhabitants tripled during the summer months. The districts of Binic hot les Fontaines- Gicquel, la Ville- Biard, La Ville -even, la Ville- Garnier, la Ville- Gilbert and la Ville- Jacob. The inhabitants are called Binicais and Binicaises.

Attractions

A sight of Binic is the church of Notre -Dame de Bon Voyage. It was built after independence from Étables -sur -Mer in 1821 on the site of the chapel Chapelle Saint -Julien. Another attraction is the chapel Chapelle Saint- Gilles. In addition Binic has three beaches.
