Biomedical Informatics Research Network

The Biomedical Informatics Research Network ( BIRN ) is a national research network for biomedicine in the United States. Among other things, a Grid for the research is done. So that the biomedical calculations and simulations can be made (e.g., the human brain waves ) in the region. Through the sharing of information and computing capacity of many renowned universities such BIRN is a leader in the field of biomedicine.
