BIS Records

BIS Records AB is a Swedish classical label. It was founded in 1973 by Robert von Bahr as " Grammofon AB BIS " and has its headquarters in Åkersberga.

BIS specializes in representing hitherto little works of classical, also old and new music.

The company has produced a recording of the complete works of Sibelius. Other North European and Baltic composers are well represented in their range, including Tubin, Kalevi Aho, Sally Beamish, Jón Leif, Vagn Holmboe, Leif Segerstam and Hugo Alfvén, and also Alfred Schnittke, Nikos Skalkottas and James MacMillan.

In 2006, BIS published its 1500 recording.; to 2011 originated almost 400 more pictures.
