Bjorn Haneveer

Björn Haneveer (born 4 September 1976) is a former Belgian, professional snooker player.

Career

Haneveer was the first internationally successful Belgian snooker player and played for many years on the Snooker Main Tour. The best placement, which he reached it, was ranked 53 in the season 2004/05. His greatest successes in professional snooker were the second round appearances at the Regal Scottish Open in 2002 and the European Open 2003. After he could no longer qualify for the professional tour in 2006, he focused on vocational training as a carpenter.

After three years of absence, he was able to qualify on the Pontin's International Open Series again for the season 2009/10 Main Tour.

Haneever is also a six-time Belgian champion and European champion in 2001. During the 2003 European Championship and the Belgian championships in 2007 succeeded even in each case a maximum break. He also won gold at the 2001 World Games in Japan and still one bronze at the World Games 2005.

After the Antwerp Open 2011 he announced his retirement from professional sport.
