Bjurum

The Swedish mansion Stora Bjurum located about 11 kilometers north of the city Falköping.

Stora Bjurum, which can be traced back to the Middle Ages, is today one of the largest estates in Skaraborg. The medieval manor house was replaced in the 18th century by a stone, which was executed in 1870 by the architect Heligoland Zettervall rebuilt in the historicist style.

One kilometer away from the manor is situated on the south bank of the Hornborgasjön originally belonging to the estate church from the 18th century. In the church there is also the bird station Trandansen, when in April each year thousands of cranes can be observed.
