Black Lauter

The Black Lauter is the left frontal flow of Lenninger Lauter. It rises in Schlattstall from the Lauter source and the gold hole. In Lenningen it unites with the White Lauter to Lauter.

Lauter source

The origin of the Black Lauter ( 48 ° 31 ' 27 " N, 9 ° 29' 23" O48.5240349.489715 ) 20 m in front of the Lauter mill which emerges directly at the water-impermeable, marveling valley floor. This source is so strong and productive, that their water once could drive the overshot water wheel of the mill Lauter.

Schlattmann Staller Goldloch

This now only periodically active water cave (48 ° 31 ' 25 "N, 9 ° 29' 28" O48.5235159.490981 ) is located about 100 m east of the other source. The bed ranges from 200 to 3000 liters per second. The orifice of this cavity was 1824/25 expanded by gold miners to its present size. The search for gold was unsuccessful. The sources of the narrow valley and the small settlement is a popular hiking destination.

Trout farm

In the clean, oxygen-rich karst spring water farmed trout are kept. In the fish ponds on the eastern edge of Schlattstall the water reaches all six sources.
