Blackburn Perth

The Blackburn R. B. 3A Perth was the successor of the Blackburn Iris RB1 as long-range reconnaissance flying boat at the British air forces. The design was the same in the two patterns: three -engined biplane flying boat with three series engines. However, the Perth had more powerful engines, a closed cockpit and more powerful weaponry: a 37- mm gun was used to ship combat.

In January 1934, the first flying boat was put into service; Tail problems made thorough modifications required. 1938, the last ones were taken.
