Blackwall Point Power Station

Blackwall Point is the northernmost point of the Greenwich Peninsula in London's East End. This area lies on the southern bank of the River Thames and is part of the London borough of Greenwich, not at north of the Thames lying district Blackwall.

Named after the local area, this section of the river Thames, the Blackwall Reach.

From the 1890s to 1980 was at Blackwall Point a coal power plant in operation, the Blackwall Point Power Station. Today there is The O ₂, which is also known as the Millennium Dome, the largest cantilevered building in the United Kingdom.
