Blagoje Marjanović

Blagoje " Moša " Marjanović ( born September 9, 1907 in Belgrade, † October 1, 1984 ) was a Yugoslav football player and coach. He was regarded in the 1930s as one of the world's best strikers.

History

Marjanović played in his career, mainly for the BSK, where he scored 100 goals in several capital club as a striker in the 13 years. As a member of the Yugoslavian national team he reached the semifinals of the soccer World Cup in Uruguay in 1930. Overall, it was used in 57 international matches, where he scored 36 goals. His successes include four Yugoslav championship title. He was also three times top scorer of the first Yugoslav league. After ending his playing career Marjanović worked as a trainer, among other things for the BSK, Torino and Catania Calcio.
