Blagoy Georgiev

Blagoj Georgiev [ bɫagɔj gɛɔrgiɛv ] ( Bulgarian Благой Георгиев, English transcription / FIFA spelling Blagoy Georgiev, . Born December 21, 1981 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian football player.

The attacking midfielder comes from the youth department of Slavia Sofia, where he also began his professional career. For Slavia, he played 148 games in the top Bulgarian league and could achieve 24 goals. During the winter break of the season 2005/ 06 Georgiev joined Deportivo Alavés to Spain.

After only half a season in which he was used ten times and could not score a goal, he returned to Spain and back changes to FK Red Star Belgrade.

For the season 2007/ 08 changed Georgiev for MSV Duisburg, who has borrowed it for one season of Red Star. There he was a regular in the whole season and also contributed two goals, but could the descent of the zebras from the 1st Bundesliga not prevent end of the season. In the following he left the club; as his contract was expired at Red Star.

In the 2008/2009 season Georgiev played back at Slavia Sofia.
