Blanchinus (crater)

Blanchinus is an impact crater in the southwest of the Moon front, east of Mare Nubium, south of the crater La Caille and north of Werner. The rim is eroded, the crater floor flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Italian astronomer Giovanni Bianchini.
