Werner (crater)

Werner is an impact crater in the southwest of the Moon front, east of Mare Nubium, south of the crater Blanchinus and southwest of Krusenstern. The crater has pronounced terraces and remains of a central mountain.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German mathematician Johannes Werner.
