The Poker Face ( from English- poker face, poker face to German ) refers to a emotionless face. The term comes from the game of poker, in which the absence of any facial expressions is an important element of the game. By ostentatiously flaunted lack of emotion a player attempts to allow the counterparty no conclusions on the assessment of their own cards, which could obtain that on the basis of any reactions or the player's behavior. In the poker game itself is called the counterpart to Poker Face as Tell.

The term is often used in everyday life, when a person in a tense situation shows no reaction, for example, during negotiations or before important events.
