Bleeding diathesis

Under a hemorrhagic diathesis is defined as a pathologically increased bleeding tendency. It is a specific form of diathesis. Symptoms of a hemorrhagic diathesis may be any abnormal bleeding, such as a prolonged bleeding time (> 6 min ), bruising (hematoma ) without force or after minor injuries, bleeding gums and bleeding in the digestive tract or in the joints.

Diseases associated with increased bleeding tendency, especially bleeding disorders ( coagulopathy ), decrease in platelet count ( thrombocytopenia ), or diseases of the blood platelets ( thrombocytopathy ), the deficiency of coagulation factors (eg, hemophilia) or poisoning with anticoagulants ( rodenticides are made the group of coumarins, such as bromadiolone or difenacoum ).
