Blériot XII

The Blériot XII was a French plane from the period before the First World War. The constructed by Louis Blériot high-wing monoplane was an enlarged version of the Blériot XI.

History

The first flight of the Blériot XII took place on 12 June 1909. In the following August Louis Blériot took to her part in the international air show in Reims, reaching the speed competition ranked second behind Glenn Curtiss and his Reims Racer. In the same year, the aircraft conducted the world's first flight with three people on board. The Blériot XII in 1910 was the first used by the British armed forces aircraft type.
