Blizzard

The blizzard is a severe snowstorm, which occurs mainly in North America. The term was first used in North America and is derived possibly from the German word " flash " from. The name of a heavy snow storm as Blizzard was later adopted in other regions such as the Antarctic and Northern Scandinavia ( Lapland ).

Origin and definition
