Blood Ties - Biss aufs Blut is a Canadian police drama with mystery and horror elements. It produced two seasons for the Canadian stations Lifetime Television from March 2007 to 2008. The series is based on the "Blood ... " series of books by Tanya Huff. It is about a former police officer and private detective Vicki Nelson today and her ex - partner Mike Celluci. At the beginning of the series learns Nelson 's 500 year-old vampire Henry know that influences their work. Since then chases the detectives team supernatural creatures like ghosts.
Action
The former cop Vicki Nelson lost her job after her retinitis pigmentosa, a disease that slowly leads to the loss of sight, is diagnosed. She takes it in the private investigator business back and hunts for the time being cheaters and adulterers. When she encounters Henry, a vampire, her work focus changed. Henry Fitzroy is a nearly 500 year-old vampire from the 16th century and meets Vicky for the first time on a common manhunt. After Vicki has her fears and reservations about Henry lost, they determine now the team to terrestrial as well as supernatural beings. Next her ex- partner Mike Celluci plays an important role. At first he does not believe in supernatural forces and beings. He thinks that Vicki had lost her eyesight and her mind. The team is completed by Vicki's assistant Coreen.
