Bloody Bones

Bloody Bones is in parts of the English-speaking area of children a dreaded creature, a demon or spirit. After Scott Andrew Hutchins, Bloody Bones comes from Ireland and is also sometimes Rawhead and Bloody Bones, Tommy Rawhead or just Rawhead called. Although the stories are originally from Ireland, they are widely used in the UK and North America.

He is said to live near water ( in older narratives ) and outflow pipes ( in recent stories ). Rawhead and Bloody Bones reward very good children, but punish naughty children by providing them down the drain or drag into the water and drown them. In addition to drowning naughty children he is told after he was able to transform this in things like waste or dirt stains, which are then inadvertently cleaned by ignorant parents.

  • A Gremlin with twisted flesh

  • A burnt offering, but with sharp claws and teeth
  • A huge boar with missing meat ( tees )
  • A hairy creature with long fangs, a bushy tail and razor- sharp claws
