Blutengel

Blutengel is a German, technoid influenced electronic band from the surroundings of the black scene.

Band History

Blutengel was founded in Berlin in 1998. The band emerged from the Seelenkrank predecessor project after the singer Chris Pohl was forced to abandon this.

The female vocal part took over at first Kati Roloff and Nina Bendigkeit. Published in 1999 Blutengel 's official debut album Child of Glass. Two years later the second album was released in anguish.

Meanwhile the members of the band had changed, since Nina Bendigkeit left the group. It was replaced by Gini Martin.

The end of 2001 left the two singers the band and together founded the project Tristesse de la Lune. Chris Pohl committed Eva Pölzing, complementing the mid-2001 services being Constance Rudert. The subsequent album, Angel Dust reached number 58 in the charts.

In October 2005, Eva Pölzing Blutengel left again. Her successor is Ulrike Goldmann, who was previously a member of the band Say Y. After 9 years parted Constance Rudert and blood angel on August 12, 2010.

But the band has taken care of quickly to new singing talents. Anja Milow was the new singer, with Chris and Ulrike. Steffi Weingarten, who also was in the meantime part of the band, left Blutengel in May 2011 in the dispute. Anja Milow consensual exit was announced on November 5, 2012.

Style

The primarily English, partly distorted vocals paired with electronic, often technoid influenced sounds. The style fluctuates between minimalist electro sounds with dance elements and quiet piano ballads. The band calls their music Dark Pop.
