Blythe Danner

Blythe Katherine Danner ( born February 3, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ) is an American actress of German descent.

Life

Blythe Danner went to the George School in Newtown, Pennsylvania. In 1965 she studied at Bard College and began her career in Boston at the theater. With 25 years of Blythe won a Theatre World Award for her theater role in Molière's The Miser at Lincoln Center. In 1970, she received a Tony Award for her role in the play Butterflies are Free by Leonard Gershe. She became famous by movies like 1974 out of love for Molly, Future World in 1976 and 1980 The Great Santini on the side of Robert Duvall.

From 1969 until his death in 2002, she was married to the film and television producer Bruce Paltrow. On September 27, 1972 her daughter, actress Gwyneth Paltrow was, and her son, the film director Jake Paltrow was born on September 26, 1975. She is also the aunt of actress Katherine Moennig.
