Boardman is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Boardman Township, Mahoning County, Ohio, United States south of Youngstown. The village is part of the Metropolitan Statistical Area Youngstown - Warren - Boardman. In 2000 Boardman had 37 215 inhabitants.

Was named the place after Elijah Boardman of the Connecticut Land Company.
