The Boardman Township is one of 22 townships in Clayton County in the northeast of the U.S. state of Iowa.
Geography
The Boardman Township is located in northeastern Iowa on Turkey River, a tributary of the Mississippi River, which forms the approximately 30 km east the Wisconsin border. The border with Minnesota is located about 100 km north, Illinois starts approximately 100 km south-east on the opposite bank of the Mississippi.

The majority of the population of the Boardman Township focuses on Elkader, the only independent municipality ( with the status of "City" ). Elkader is also the administrative seat of the entire Clayton County.
