Bob Custer

Bob Custer ( born October 18, 1898 in Frankfort, Kentucky, † December 27, 1974 in Torrance, California, actually Raymond Anthony Glenn ) was an American actor, especially in B- Westerns.

Life

Custer attended the University of Kentucky, he probably left without a degree in engineering direction of the U.S. Army. His first film appearances in Custer had two late 1924 reached the cinema silent film westerns. He was taken from the movie Booking Office (FBO ) under contract, which also gave him his stage name and numerous action films primarily produced of the Western genre. Yet his weekly salary increased from $ 100 to initially to $ 1,000 in the fifth year. In 1927, he joined next under his birth name in three films of the Chadwick Pictures Corporation. After about two dozen Western for FBO Custer went to Syndicate Pictures. There he experienced in his twenty films the transition to talkies, often under director JP McGowan. After his contract expires in 1931, he spent four films to a society that had produced extremely cheap movements, the Big 4 Film Corporation. In 1934 he had the next opportunity to acting, playing as Custer in the Serial Law of the Wild. Only three films were to follow: 1936/1937 he was for it at Reliable Pictures under contract.

Later Custer worked well as a building inspector and safety engineer.

Custer was twice married; 1926-1933 with the meat - millionaire heiress Anne Cudahy, and from 1948 until his death with Mildred Boughers.
