Bob White (ice hockey)

Robert Charles White ( born July 22, 1935 in Stratford, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player.

Career

Robert White began his career as a hockey player in the Ontario Junior Hockey Association, in which he was active for the Barrie Flyers and Kitchener Canucks 1951-1955. He then moved to the senior level to the Kitchener- Waterloo Dutchmen, with whom he represented Canada at the Olympic Winter Games 1956. After the tournament, he played a further year for the Dutchmen. From 1957 to 1960 he attended the University of Michigan, for their hockey team he played parallel to his studies. From 1960 to 1962 he ran for the Windsor Bulldogs of the Senior Ontario Hockey Association, before he ended his hockey career at the age of 27.

Internationally

For Canada White participated in the Olympic Winter Games 1956 in Cortina d' Ampezzo, in part, with whom he won the bronze medal with his team.
