Railway Bochum- Gelsenkirchen
The railway line Bochum- Gelsenkirchen referred to a people train Gluckauf train from Bochum Main Station to Gelsenkirchen Hbf ( regional train RB46 ) and secondly the freight train connections from Bochum Gbf at the former Bochum Sud train station and Bochum President to Gelsenkirchen - Schalke North. The railway line was built in 1867-1876 in sections of the Bergisch- Märkischen railroad. The connecting curve at Bochum Hbf was taken in 1979 in operation.
Passenger
Until 1978, passenger trains of the DB wrong Bochum - Langendreer about Bochum -Nord, Bochum- Riemke to Wanne -Eickel. After construction of a connecting curve from Bochum Main Station on track towards Riemke in 1979 which led to 1990 people train from Bochum Main Station to Herne, but Hbf was then pan - Eickelmann to Gelsenkirchen swirled. The breakpoint Herne Rottbruch represents a special operational case, because it is located on a bridge over the motorway 43, but is no longer served since 1990. Currently, the regional train 46 is operated by Abellio Rail NRW, the 41 / H as well as using three vehicles of the type CORADIA LINT on weekends and holidays Stadler FLIRT EMU 2.
The section ( pan - Eickelmann ) Gelsenkirchen Zoo ( Dorsten ) is used in the passenger of the regional train 43. Until 1988, the trains ran (then battery railcars of series 515) from the northernmost track of the pan - Eickeler central station via a connecting curve directly to the breakpoint Tub Unser Fritz. Today, the compound curve is reduced and the breakpoint decommissioned. Since the closure of the passenger trains leave from the southern platform in Wanne- Eickel over the longer, southern connecting curve without stopping to Gelsenkirchen Zoo.
The Roadmap in 1968/69 was a people train pan - Eickelmann - Gelsenkirchen Zoo - Gelsenkirchen- Schalke - Bottrop -Süd - Oberhausen Hbf recorded. 1940 there was a people train pan - Eickelmann - Gelsenkirchen- Bismarck - Gelsenkirchen- Schalke North - Gelsenkirchen- Hessler - Food Hbf
Freight traffic
In freight transport, the railway line in 2153 from Bochum- Langendreer is traversed starting. Under bypass the passenger stations of pan - Eickelmann and Herne Recklinghausen and Gelsenkirchen- Bismarck is achieved directly.
