Bodega Bay is a census -designated place with a population of 1,077 (as of 2010 ) at the same shallow bay of the Pacific Ocean on the coast in the north of the U.S. state of California. Bay and location are approximately 85 kilometers northwest of San Francisco and 32 miles south-west of Santa Rosa. The region is part of the Sonoma County.

History

The Spanish explorer Juan Francisco de la Bodega Quadra Mollineda discovered the bay in 1775; However, it had been living for a long time, the Miwok and Pomo Indians in this region.
