Bodstedter Bodden

Bodstedter Bodden is a part of Darß- Zingster Bodden chain as well as the National Park Boddenlandscape. It is located south of the peninsula fish - darss on the coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The beautiful bays, reed -fringed shoreline is scenic, so the lying near the shore spatial locations are popular tourist destinations.

The western border of the bay to the coupling current are Borner Bülten ( Bulte, small marshy reed islands ). The coupling current forms the transition to Saal Bodden. In the east, the strait Meiningen forms the transition to Barth Bodden and Zingster current. In the south of the bay, the Redensee is the place Fuhlendorf. In the northeast of Prerower power, the former access to the sea, in the bay opens. The deepest point with 10 meters of the bay is located just before the Meininger Bülten the small reed islands at Meiningen. The remaining Bodden is rarely deeper than 3 meters.
