Bofil Thirstedt

Bodil Margrethe Svendsen, born Thirstedt, (* November 4, 1916 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish canoeist.

Svendsen won a bronze medal in one kayak and one in the double kayak at the Canoe Sprint World Championships 1938 in Vaxholm. 1948 it was about 500 m, together with Karen Hoff world champion in double kayak. In the 1952 Olympics, the starter of Kastrup kayak club in one kayak came in fifth goal. She was with the canoeists Axel Svendsen (1912-1995) married.
