Bohdan Butko

Bohdan Butko (Ukrainian Богдан Євгенович Бутко; * January 13, 1991 in Donetsk, Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian football player. It is used as a right-back and is currently at Shakhtar Donetsk under contract.

Career

Association

Butko comes from the youth of Shakhtar Donetsk. There, however, he came out in the second and third team to use. In the first team was Darijo Srna undisputed master players, so Butko could not prevail.

In the 2010/2011 season he was loaned to Volyn Lutsk. There he came to regular appearances in the Premjer - Liha. 2011/2012 he played again on loan at Illitschiwez Mariupol.

National

Butko was a member of several junior teams of his country. With the U-19 he took part in the 2009 European Championship, from which emerged his team as European champions. Butko came in two preliminary rounds to use before he incurred an injury and turned out for the rest of the tournament. In 2011 he also took part in the U-21 European Championship and came in all three group matches are used. For the semi-finals, Ukraine could not qualify.

On September 2, 2011 Butko debuted in the senior national team in a friendly against Uruguay. Since then, he was a regular in internationals for use. He was also at the 2012 European Championship squad in the Ukraine, where he appeared as a substitute in the final group game and so was his first appearance in an international tournament.
