Boios

Boios was a Greek author of the 3rd century BC, considered the author of a work on the transformations of mythical figures in birds is only known to the written in hexameter poetry Ornithogonia (Greek Ὀρνιθογονία " The Origin of Birds ").

Ovid used his work, Aemilius Macer translated it into Latin. A collection of transformation myths from the second century of Antoninus Liberalis are very brief summaries of the contents of some of those collected in the work Ornithogonia myths.
