Bok globule

Globules are in astronomy spatially narrowly limited parts of molecular clouds, in which there is star formation. Globules appear as dark spots against the background of an emission nebula, or against the background of stars. They were proposed by Bart Bok in 1947 as an early stage of star formation and are sometimes referred to by him as Bok globules. High-resolution observations, for example, by the Hubble Space Telescope of the well-known star-forming regions in our galaxy (such as Orion or Eagle Nebula ) corroborate this assumption. Inside of a globule is protostars condense on and on, until they are hot enough for nuclear fusion.
