Boldklubben af 1893

The Boldklubben af 1893 ( today usually abbreviated to B.93; German: ball club from 1893, mostly B.93 Copenhagen called in German-speaking countries ) is a Danish sports club, which was primarily known for its football department. The club is located in the district of Copenhagen Østerbro. From 1916 to 1946, the football players have won the Danish championship nine times; In 1982, they won the Cup competition. Since 2012, they play only viertklassig in Danmark series.

History

The Boldklubben was first established on 19 May 1893, the Cricket Club. In the early years the club members rejected the football game turned away, but the attitude changed quickly, and in 1896 was admitted to the football club program. Since 1901, tennis is played in B.93. The Cricket department existed until 1959. Currently the association offers soccer and tennis strength training on.

The football players play their home games at Østerbro Stadium, which holds 7,000 spectators.

In Europe Cup Winners' Cup 1982/83 turned B.93 in the first round of the East German representatives Dynamo Dresden, but failed in the second round of THOR Waterschei from Belgium.
