Bölkow Bo 207

The Bölkow Bo 207 was a civilian light aircraft of the German Bölkow GmbH. It is the only sport bike that was produced in the postwar period in larger numbers in Germany.

The Bölkow Bo 207 was developed based on the Klemm Kl 107C. As this was still based on a pre-war development and was technically outdated ( in timber ) as well as the cabin dimensions, they sold poorly. The result was ( after the rights to Bölkow had gone over ) 1958/59 from the KI 107C 107D in the form of a larger four -seater with a more powerful engine. Through fundamental changes to the design, they presented more of a redesign as an evolution dar. Thus, the hull was widened in the cabin area and provided with a greater canopy with large panoramic window. In addition, the einholmigen wings were now consistently and carried on each side a 100 -liter fuel tank. The serial production began in 1962 in the new Bölkow plant in Laupheim, where until the end of production in 1966 a total of 92 units were built. There was also an art Airworthy T ( Trainer) version with aerobatics throttle, ejectable cabin roofs and enlarged vertical tail, like a cheap version with O- 360A2A engine and Sensenich fixed propeller.
