Bonnevoie

Bonneweg ( Bonnevoie ) is a district of the city of Luxembourg in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (Luxembourg) with 18,000 inhabitants ( 2003).

In the 1940s and 1950s mainly influenced by workers' housing the expanding national railway company ( CFL), it is now an increasingly dynamic developing area, with a slow -growing business in the city center. Bonneweg has mostly a high quality of living, even if individual access roads have high traffic density.

Close to the forest located ( Alzette, max 3 km), it is a retreat from the bustle of downtown.

Is considered disadvantageous that Bonneweg lies partly in the (mainly A ) flight path of the Luxembourg Findel airport.

The architectural image is still characterized by (mostly tart renovated ) single and multi- family dwellings ( townhouses) in the 1950s and 1960s. The quality of life is, as mostly everywhere in Luxembourg, very good. Merely lately, starting from the adjacent railway station area, sometimes slight criminality, such Drug-related crime, was observed.
