Borchgrevink Coast

The Borchgrevink Coast is a stretch of coast between Cape Adare and Cape Washington in Victoria Land in Antarctica.

The name was recommended in 1961 by the New Zealand Place Names Committee for the Antarctic ( NZ- APC) in memory of Carsten Egeberg Borchgrevink. This was a member of the Antarctic expedition of Henryk Bull in 1894 /95 later head of the Southern Cross expedition in 1898 /1900. He was also the first to be the first wintered on the Antarctic continent at Cape Adare.
