Borçka Dam

The Borçka Dam is located in the province of Artvin in northeastern Turkey. It was built by the Office of Water (DSI ) for power generation and flood control south of the city Borçka.

The dam is one of many on Çoruh River. The installed capacity of 2 x 150 MW, will lead to an annual electricity production of 1039 GWh. The construction was carried out as a joint venture of Yuksel Constructions, Temelsu and Strabag. For the construction of the road between Borçka and Artvin had to be relocated.
