Borculo

Borculo ( Low Saxon Borklo ) is a Dutch city in Achterhoek in the province of Gelderland. The city on the Berkel owes its name to the rule and the Kasteel Borculo.

Borkulo until 1 January 2005 when it became an independent community banded together with Eibergen Ruurlo and Neede to church today Berkel country.

History

In the 12th century, the lords of Borculo were mentioned for the first time in writing. Around this time, Kasteel Borculo emerged together with settlement. 1375 got Borculo city rights.
