Borel (crater)

Borel is a small impact crater in southeastern Mare Serenitatis. It is located southwest of the crater Le Monnier and was known as Le Monnier C before it by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) was renamed in 1976. It shows an almost circular, bowl -shaped structure with inboard levels that descend to the center of the crater down. The inside has a higher albedo than the surrounding dark Mare.
