Boris Ebzeyev

Boris Safarowitsch Ebsejew (Russian Борис Сафарович Эбзеев, scientific transliteration Boris Safarovič Ebzeev; born February 25, 1950 in Schany shear, Oblast Frunze, Kirghiz SSR, Soviet Union ) is a Russian lawyer and politician. From 2008 to 2011 he was president of the Russian republic of Karachay -Cherkessia.

Ebsejews parents in 1944, how many Karachays were deported from their Caucasian homeland to Central Asia. Ebsejew was born in Kyrgyzstan. 1957 allowed the family to return to the Caucasus. Ebsejew worked after graduating from middle school in Karatschajewsk in a Construction Management and then began to study law in Saratov, where he graduated in 1972 with honors. In 1975 he reached the rank of candidates in 1989 a Doctor of Law. Since 1990 Ebsejew bears the title of professor.

From 1975 to 1976 Ebsejew served with motorized Special Forces militia. From 1977 he was secretary of the Communist youth organization Komsomol and worked as a university teacher. In 1991, he collaborated with other lawyers on the Constitution of the Russian Federation, and to the Constitution of the Republic of Karachay -Cherkessia.

In October 1991 Ebsejew was elected to the Constitutional Court. In 1999 he stood as a candidate in the presidential elections in Karachay -Cherkessia, but only reached the second place. On July 30, 2008, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev suggested it to the Karachai - Circassian Parliament as the new president. On 5 August 2008, the Parliament approved the proposal. 26 February 2011 Ebsejew resigned from his post.
