Boris Schnuchel ( born March 15, 1975 in Flensburg, Germany ) is a Danish handball player. Schnuchel is mostly used on the left wing.

Career

Association

The 1,80 m tall and 90 kg Right-handed first played at the Danish club Over Jerstal. Since 1997 he runs to Kolding or the successor KIF Kolding København for KIF. With Kolding he won the Danish Championship in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2009 and the Cup in 1999, 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2008. With 576 games in Dress by KIF he holds the club record. In the first final of 2012/13 he suffered a cruciate ligament injury. He will fulfill his current contract until 2014 but.

Internationally, he reached six times the knockout stages of the EHF Champions League, once each quarter-final (2002/ 03) and the semi-final (2001/ 02). In the EHF Cup he joined in 2012/13 to the quarter-finals, in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1999/2000 to the semifinals.

National

In the Danish national Schnuchel debut on 1 September 2000 against Spain. He won the bronze medal at the 2004 European Championships. At the World Championship 2005 he landed a disappointing 13th place. However, he was always in the shadow of Nikolaj Jacobsen and Lars Christiansen. Until 2006, he played 34 international matches in which he scored 84 goals. (As of February 18, 2014 )
